Improving your lap time at K1 Speed can be difficult sometimes. You’ll have a plan for attacking the track with the perfect racing line. But you’re a couple tenths off where you want to be. When you find yourself struggling to move forward, what better way to progress that by attending K1 Speed’s Karting Academy, taught by professional race car driver Patricio Jourdain.

The Karting Academy has rolled into town several times since K1 Speed Toronto opened, but it is worth going to, even if you’ve been a student of the Karting Academy before. Driving coach Patricio Jourdain explains, “I think the more instruction you get it’s always better. Especially since the first time you attend the Karting Academy, you get a lot of information in a very short period of time it is hard to absorb and apply all this in the same day and remember all of it well. So, when you attend a second time, you already have all the information in your brain as you’re driving… so all the small details will pop up this time. You will be able to apply lessons better and get the most out of it!”.

Since the track opened in early 2018, K1 Speed Toronto’s layout has changed several times. If you haven’t visited the track in a while, you may be surprised at the changes. So, if you want to better understand the racing line on the newest version of the track, the K1 Speed Karting Academy can help greatly.

One of the top drivers at K1 Speed Toronto, multi-time Karting Academy graduate Steven M., explained what he likes about the academy, “I love karting and the challenge of constantly searching for ways to improve. I’m perfection driven and there’s no better way than learning from the expert. Patricio makes a fun hands-on academy where you hone your skills with the camaraderie of like-minded people who love the thrill only karting can bring.”.

If you want to be one of the fastest and most consistent racers at K1 Speed, there’s simply no better way than by attending the Karting Academy. While this weekend’s course is history, keep an eye on K1 Speed’s social media accounts and https://k1speed.ca/karting-academy.html for the next time Patricio brings the Karting Academy back to Toronto in December 2019. Make sure to sign up early so you too can learn to set super-fast laps at Ontario’s premier indoor karting track.
