Toronto Location indoor kart racing

K1 Standard

Our community is our family—and like all families, we take care of each other. So, when we sat down to put new safety measures in place, we went beyond the guidelines.

Click below to see the details of our new plan, but keep in mind this is just a start. We have a few more upgrades in the works, and as we learn more, we’ll be constantly fine-tuning and updating this page with the latest—so you can always check back here.

We’ve always been dedicated to the cleanliness of our tracks and the health and safety of our community. Now we’re taking it to an even higher level.

Track updates.

We are following the Provincial government’s proof of vaccination protocols (more information Ontario)

OUR CURRENT TRACK OPERATING STATUS:

K1 SPEED TORONTO NOW OPEN

The K1 Speed Standard of fun and safety.

The safety of our community has always been our top priority, and we’re even more focused on it now. To set the tone for our industry, we’ve made changes to how we operate—all designed to keep our racers, staff, and visitors safe. Here are all the changes you can expect:

Our Heightened Deep-Cleaning Process

COVID-19 Icons SQ_Spray Bottle

Top-grade disinfectant & more frequent cleaning.

Staff will use a disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after registration—with a heightened attention to karts, helmets, and all high-touch surfaces after every race. We’ll also be cleaning the facility from top to bottom twice as often per week.

Disinfecting high-touch surfaces.

After every race, we’ll disinfect handles, rails, light switches, sanitizing stations, lockers, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, couches, the reception, keyboards, computers, phones, arcade, meeting rooms and equipment.

All karts disinfected.

After every race, every kart will be thoroughly disinfected.

All helmets disinfected.

After every race, all helmets will be thoroughly disinfected.

Personal belongings.

Please wait until there are no other racers to collect your personal belongings from the designated boxes.

The Pro Shop.

Our retail collection will still be available, but we ask that you avoid touching items as much as possible. If you’d like to make a purchase, please ask staff for assistance

Retail returns.

We won’t be allowing racers to try items on before buying but will still accept returns. If a racer does return an item, we won’t put it back on the floor until deemed safe by apparel industry standards.

Practice good hand hygiene.

Whether you’re going straight home, or planning to stick around and enjoy a bite to eat or a beverage in our Paddock Lounge, be sure to first wash your hands thoroughly after each race using soap and water, or use the hand sanitizing stations found throughout the facility.

Racer Responsibility: Keeping each other safe.

We’ve put a lot of changes in place—with details beyond what you see here. Our new safety process will be most effective if we all make sure to do our part in it.

Aside from respecting the safety guidelines put in place by our governments, we ask that any racer coming to a track walks in with the approach our K1 family takes for most things: Go above and beyond for each other.

If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to the track until you’re symptom-free and fever-free for three days.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to the track for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.

If you feel unwell or have any concerns about coming in to race, please stay home and stay safe. We’ll happily welcome you back on the track when you’re healthy and feel comfortable coming back to race.
